Unlike her brother, Teju does not get read to every night. We just read to her throughout the day whenever we can and a few times a night if everything works on schedule and we aren’t too late putting her down for bedtime.
Both Aaron and I love it when she picks up random books from our book shelves, brings them over to where we are seated on the floor, hands them to us, and goes on to plop herself on our laps to have the book read to her.
Even though she is the queen of randomness (once she did the above with a novel I was reading – the book was probably as heavy as her but she managed to pick it up and bring it all the way over to me), there are a few books she is absolutely drawn to and enjoys being read to over and over again.
My 1-year-old’s Favorite Books:
Mr. Brown Can Moo, Can You : Dr. Seuss’s Book of Wonderful Noises (Bright and Early Board Books)
Pop-Up Peekaboo: Things That Go
