Parenting,  Quick Note,  Reflections,  Toddler Days,  Years are short

Just a quick note: What do you do when…?

Your toddler keeps saying, “Mommy ‘tay…mommy ‘tay…mommy…” asking you to stay just a little longer for nap times and bed times and insists on just one more book? Not sure if he really wants to read another book or wants to prolong bed time? Should I enforce his bed time give or take 15 minutes or give in? After all, he isn’t going to want me to stay or want to be read to for much longer. At the same time, will I be the worst mother ever to not stay or read another book because I’d rather enforce bedtime? Hmm…

A former Communication Studies professor turned a somewhat reluctant stay-at-home-mom (SAHM), I blog about my adventures raising two multiracial kids, a toddler and an infant. I write about parenting and living a multicultural Indian-Canadian-American HinJew life with honesty, a few tears, lots of laughter, and gallons of coffee.
