Dear Friends, By now you must be familiar with General Data Protection Regulation or GDPR. At ThePhDMama, your trust is worth everything to me so you can rest assured that your data will NEVER be sold or shared with anybody directly and without your consent. […]
Who we are
This website’s address is: http://thephdmama.com. It is the personal blog space of Suchitra, the Founder & Content Creator
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
When visitors leave comments on the site, the site collects the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
If you leave a comment on this site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
I use Google Analytics to inform me on how the content of my website works with my readers. All data collected are anonymous as in, they cannot be directly connected to you. The collected data helps me develop a better collective insight into my traffic, what my visitors like to read, what articles are popular, the general demographics of my visitors and so on. Again, none of this information can be connected to you individually. All such data are retained for 14 months.
Who we share your data with
We do not personally share your data with anybody. We respect your privacy and we promise to never sell or give away your personal information, including your email, name and last name to anybody. Ever.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where we send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
